I've just checked a new recipe that I am inflicting on the kids and himself this week and it includes almond meal - is this a flour substitute (and if so, is it plain or self-raising)? Thanks.
Had my shopping delivered and car (still) in garage. Would flour be ok? It's to make broccoli fritters (they've got cheese and eggs in too as well as some seasoning). Actually, living in Hicksville I doubt I could get almond meal even if I could get to the shops.
I forgot to say if there is a raising agent such as baking powder you won't be albe to make it too far in advance as the active ingredients will wear themselves out.
sherr, for next time, if your on delivery from one of the chain supermarkets they all sell gram (chickpea) flour, it makes lovely batter for veg fritters
