Having spent a pleasant couple of hours in the kitchen I have just realised that to forego my spice cupboard, ginger, garlic and chilli my cooking repertoire would be beyond dull.
I would happily sacrifice meat and cheese before I gave up my spices and aromatics.
What would you find the hardest food to sacrifice?
As someone who has been denied her weekly m&s almond croissant I would say that is my vital ingredient, but if I'm being sensible I would say I have to have good stock whether it is beef or chicken - can't cook properly without good stock
