A plate of new season English asparagus and homemade Hollandaise......yum!

The start of the asparagus season is the highlight of my year, what do you look forward to seeing appear?

The wild garlic in my borders makes fantabulous pesto, and when it comes in with the first asparagus sprue, as this year, I know we've survived another Winter

Purple sprouting broccoli, Spring Welsh lamb, English asparagus and Jersey Royal potatoes. That's Easter Sunday lunch organised.

The whole Spring thing does it for me - the little green leaves on the trees, the first nodding daffs....
