If a recipie says 250g of beetroot pureed. Do you puree it then weigh it or wegh it then puree?

I realise it shouldn't make that much difference to the end weight but if I weigh it before I've cooked it it is different weight once cleaned and pealed etc?

Thanks

I weigh it then puree.
I'd weigh it after pureeing. Taking the skin off will make it weigh less. Not much, but it will.
250g of beetroot, pureed.
Weigh it first. If it was to be weighed afterwards the recipe would say 250g of pureed beetroot.
Weigh it first. If it said 250g of pureed beetroot it would be the other way round.
Why would it make any difference ? What mass are you slinging away or adding during the pureeing process ?
I don't see it matters unless a large amount of peel is being removed before pureeing. I don't normally peel anyway.
