Heinz used to make a very nice potato salad in cans. I haven't seen this on the shelves for a very long time.

Bleurrgh, I hated that stuff, and the tinned veg salad, I can still remember the smell, vile. It was considered a treat so we only had it when we had visitors thankfully...a slice of ham, half a tomato, a couple of lettuce leaves and a dollop of that stuff, all finished off with trifle made with tinned fruit salad and topped with tinned thick cream, yuk.

Thank you for all your replies concerning Heinz Potato Salad, as I suspected, its appears to be discontinued.
Murraymints replies were pleasingly amusing!!
Morrison's own potato salad is about OK, but Waitrose own is very good.
No real facilities for making my own - but your ideas seem very appetising
