Vodka and Creme de Menthe. A 'Green Genie'. Makes you fall over but at least your breath smells OK.

Vodka and coke popular here. Can't face vodka now, used to drink it with cider, oh I know pretty vile, but I was 15 and thinking I was cool, learnt by 16 that I wasn't.

If I'm out for dinner, I like vodka and tomato juice with ice and a slice of lemon as a pre-meal drink. It doesn't fill me up, and gives me an appetite. The only problem is that it has to be stirred constantly, as the vodka tends to float to the top.

You can disguise the fact that you're drinking it if you have the barman tip a measure into a glass of lager.

A favourite starter used to be a Drunken Melon ,- place melon of your choice in a large bowl, make a hole in the top and feed for 2/3 days with top ups of Vodka.

On the day slice and serve - gets the evening going great.
