Anybody Fancy Roasted Dog And Cat Food? Any Recipes?

The 'Kitchen Terrorist' has just struck.
I heard the Aga door 'click' - having told the mater that dinner would be around 8.15-20, the roast chicken out at 8.
Sure enough, everything had been pulled out, roasted potatoes, a root veg purée and some sweetcorn.....
I go to put it back in and find a can of dog food and one of cat at the back.
Anybody any recipes for these, bearing in mind I have a book about Alzheimers from a carer's perspective under draft, the serious points being the chronology of events, keeping ahead of the 'game', tips to carers and to bring out some of the humour in all of this, and this one's up there as I can have a field day on drafting the story....?

I found a box of fish flavour dry cat food and put it out in bowls, they ate the lot and asked what it was, I told everyone it was a Japanese fish flavour delicacy and very expensive. To this day I have never let on they were eating 'Katkins Chunks'

No sloopy, thank goodness - and they had only just been put in, so no chance to burst either.
I find it all rather funny, laughing more at the condition than the person, though there are times that she realises that she has pulled a daft stunt and laughs too.., so, ummmm, you can split your sides, as I have this evening - at least it wasn't as bad as the cat food paté, me being clever in getting one of those pouches instead of Whiskas cans and getting it served up with one of her 'infamous' salads.

DTC - does the cat interact with your mother than it would have done to her prior to her dementia? I know that some species of animals treat autistic kiddies differently.
It is sad that we can do so much in this world but we still find the need to start wars and we haven't worked out how to ensure that the brain keeps going until the body finally gives out. It is a cruel disease for both the person with dementia and for the family that loves and cares for that person.

Not that I have seen re the cat, wolf. The dog, yes, more protective to her as to strangers - he's okay with me now.....
