I have just had scrambled egg on toast still got 3 eggs left they were out of date on the 12th July they are still OK.

Absolutely, gordie. We take no notice of best befores in our house - if it smells OK, or if the cat will eat it, then so will we.

Of course they will, the whites may be a bit too watery for making perfect poached eggs OK for an omelette or scrambled eggs.
