i have a surplus of plums. anyone have any v.easy and quick jam recipes. poss to do without pectin or is this an integral ingredient. Sorry to sound thick but i've never attempted to make jam before. thnx

You can buy special sugar these days for making jam and it already contains pectin which helps with setting.  (Look for Jam Sugar in the supermarket).
