Cooking for one (or two)
9 Answers
Whenever I cook just for myself, or for only two people, I find I have ingredients left over that I have to then find another suitable recipe for.
At the moment, I have 100g (about 2 tablespoons) of natural yoghurt to use. I would usually add it to a curry, but what else could I do with it? Any smoothie recipes? Other suggestions?

- Mix 100g yoghurt and a spoonful of Patak's lime pickle (teaspoon or tablespoon depending on how brave you are feeling).
Cut chicken or turkey breast meat into şiş-kebab-sized cubes. Leave overnight or longer in a freezer bag. Grill. - Mix 100g yoghurt, juice of 1/2 a lemon, olive oil, garlic, fresh herbs such as rosemary, thyme, sage etc., black pepper, freshly ground fenchel seeds and a pinch of chilli. Mix in blender.
(Add salt after the meat is cooked.)
I marinated a pork fillet in this mixture at the weekend and took to a barbeque, grilled it whole then carved it into thin slices. It went down very well indeed.
Works well for poultry, too.
