Fussy Eaters

I've met a few fussy eaters in my life, but none as bad as my girlfriend. I want to make her something special, but she REALLY narowed it down for me when she gave me a list of 15 INGREDIENTS. She's won't eat anything fishy, hates salad, doesn't like dip and absolutely hates sauces, for example Pizza or a Hunters chicken. I want to make her something nice and flavoursome, but it's going to end up making somethimg plain and dry. Any good ideas as to what I could make that woukd wow her? I'm pretty good at cooking so complexity isn'tan issue.

Canary42, that's how both households have adopted the eating regeime, amd I'm not fussy, and neither is anyone else in any family. She was always fed the same, but even she doesn't know why she doesntlike a lot

Basically, she has a sweet tooth and would happily live off of crap, so I'm tryimg to think of something a bit different that she'll like so she starts eating more

Salt is something that works. Salty dishes can help tame a picky person. I'm speaking from experience - I'm not taking the mic. My ex wife hated gravy until I used a couple extra oxos and added a bit of red wine. It was the salt that drew her in.

I'm a picky eater. I don't like fish, I don't like veg and I don't like sauces. I'm funny with everything. I have a sweet tooth like your gerts.

From what I have seen a lot of fussy eaters like to eat junk food. I think this is part of the problem. real food has more subtle taste and differing textures which she might not be used to and without all the flavour enhancers they might not like the natural taste.

I don't think I could date a fussy eater, they really irritate me!!

I don't eat crab or most convenience foods, apart from that I will eat any other traditional food of the UK and most foreign foods. The food just needs to be fresh and fair quality. My daughter is a vegetarian, generally she eats the same meals as us minus the meat or she cooks her own when she visits, can't be doing with such nonsense.

I had a plain roast chicken with roast potatoes last night and it was delicious. No stuffing no gravy no veg.

I'm with ratter, I honestly couldn't date a fussy eater, their likes and dislikes would irritate me too much.

That being said, this is you- not me, lol.

Does she even try new food? Has she 're-visited' food she dislikes? I know that certain foods ive hated when young have turned out quite good as my taste buds have changed now im a lot older.

I think I'll make her a chicken pasta cheese bake thing, it had everything she likes, and roast potato's

Its never IMO a good basis for a relationship if one person wants to change the other. If you can't accept her as she is then maybe its not her who has the problem?

Sorry B00! No, I don't think she would, she's got her mind set on the stuff she likes and would make a little bit of a fuss, she would just pick around stuff she didn't like and leave it. And woofgang, I do accept her, but when I or my Mum makes a nice dinner and she's a lot of it it gets pretty frustrating
