I have no idea,a neighbor gave us their veg box which they ordered online as they were off on holiday. They're about fist sized with a 3 inch stalk.

"jerusalem or globe artichokes?" What are the difference in look and taste?
Jerusalem artichoke look a bit like root ginger but darker.
Globe artichokes look like big thistles, Jerusalem artichokes look like knobbly new potatoes.
those are globe artichokes, jerusalem artichokes are root veg.

Just checked google. I't a globe artichoke.
Swede's - yes you can mash them sometimes people mix them with carrots or potatoes, and mash the whole lot together... Artichokes you steam them and you cut the points off the tops of the leaves and you dip them in melted butter and scoff - well you sort of scrape the top layer off in your mouth and then toss the rest of the leaf away.. Or you can take the heart out and make an artichoke dip with cheese and mayo and you bake in the oven and eat hot with crackers..
