I've just read that this fine lady has died at 99 years of age.

I was privileged to meet her and she was a remarkable lady with a quick wit and always a sparkle in her eye.

There's a copy of this in my kitchen cupboard (as there has been for the better part of half a century) and I still refer to it occasionally when I've forgotten something basic!

I've still get a copy of one of her books that belonged to my Mum, she swore by her recipes. RIP
