Linked article says "An astonishing four million Britons have not had a glass of water in over a week".

I don't see anything astonishing about that. I rarely drink plain water. How about you ?

It's another very suspect "research" article sponsored by (surprise surprise) Sodastream, who of course are impartial.

I drink at least 2 litres every day.
I drink plain water every day.
I rarely drink water on its own. But I'm awash with tea.
put kettle on Sandy..milk only ..ta !
One needs fluid. One need not take water in, in the form of glasses of just water though. Taking in enough is a separate issue to how one takes it in.
On top of all that water? Is that wise? ☺
I hardly ever drink water, my main fluid intake every day is tea. I don't know how i could possibly drink 2 litres of water a day.
s'easy..we have nice tap water in Edinburgh....good healthy kidney function too !
I very rarely drink water on its own, but I drink plenty of tea and when I'm working, I have 2 x 3 litres of diluted cordial in the car (I'm a window cleaner) ... so the way I see it, I get plenty of water, even though it's hardly ever water on its own - does it matter ??
Never drink water. I've noticed that younger people can't go longer than 5 minutes without sucking on it.(they're a caution, aren't they)
It's surprising how many of these independent reports are sponsored by interested parties.
Oh! dear.........we must drink 2 litres of water per day.
What nonsense..who in the course of a normal day with a normal intake of food can drink 2 litres of water?
I can,t and will not.
The medical profession is of no help as it changes itS opinion annually.
The body is quite a simple system which is made complicated by" clever ***."

If you feel thirsty then have a drink of anything.......well, water I mean.
I get headaches if I don't drink that much water Sqad !
I get headaches if I drink too much of the water of life. :-)
Some of us are possibly closer to our aquatic ancestors than others.
you saying I'm an old fish sve ? lol
;o) x
there was an interesting documentary, bbc ran a series of them looking at various things, one was about water, they took twins, once drank the 2 litres as well as food the other just ate normally i think and didn't have the extra 2 litres, as far as i remember the outcome was that she twin who ate normally without the extra water, got all she needed water wise from the drinks and food she ate without needing extra.

i drink a fair bit of water, but i am at the gym most mornings...

I have a relative who drinks nothing.....nothing at all.....no tea, coffee, water, juice, alcohol......
The only glass I've seen at her lips is an empty one for a token toast...and she's been this way since her teens.

She is ninety two.....would easily pass for an attractive seventy......lovely figure, gorgeous hair and mentally as sharp as a tack with a great sense of humour.

I'd follow her example....if it didn't mean ditching the Guinness.... ;-)
I watched a foodie programme not so long ago. The 'expert' said that although water is good our bodies know it's just water and pass it through us quite easily. The best way to get the fluids we need is through food. Any food with a high water content.
every day ! lions drink it

( but that didnt cause Cecil's death )
