I love dim sum especially lotus seed buns - anyone know where either the buns or the paste can be bought online?

Sorry, but I think you might find it difficult to get these products online. Hoo Hing is one of the few companies that sell oriental food online; although they list lotus seed buns among their products, they state that these are too perishable to be sold online and can only be obtained from their London stores.

If you want to see the items stocked by Hoo Hing, check here: http://www.hoohing.com/acatalog/index.html

I've had no luck looking for lotus seed paste either but, if you'll say roughly where you live I might be able to come up with a few (fairly) local suggestions for you.

Thanks for looking Buen - I had no joy either. Anywhere in the south west around plymouth torquay area would be good for me if you know a local supplier.
It might be worth trying a few phone calls.

I suggest starting with these two:

Hira Ethnic Food Supermarket
5, Well St, Exeter, Devon EX4 6QR
Tel: 01392 434323

The Worldwide Food
138, Cornwall St, Plymouth, Devon PL1 1NJ
Tel: 01752 252005

Best of luck,

Chris
