Just put a steak casserole for one, in the electric oven on 190 for 45 minutes, so how long should I leave it on a lower temp, before its cooked? Thanks.

Please answer somebody, the 45 minutes is nearly up.
I would just test it. What type of steak are you using?
Is it yours trt? .. Home made? I'd just keep checking it till your fork goes through the meat easy.
Ever thought of using a slow-cooker? So much more economical that using the oven for a small casserole.
Assuming the steak was raw when you put it in the oven I would say another 2 to 3 hours on a low gas.
Wife bought a slow cooker, she loves gadgets, best thing we ever bought.
Jackdaw...."low gas"...in an electric oven?
I'm not sure what you mean- are you saying you are going to reduce the temperature?
190 seems reasonable (assuming you mean Centigrade) but I'm not sure how long it will take- probably a bit longer.
It's a turn of phrase from years back. Whenever I cook anything I have to use a converter chart to change degrees into gas marks. It's the same with temperatures. Figures in Celsius mean nothing to me, except the obvious ones like 0 and 100. I have to convert to fahrenheit to understand.

I have a slow cooker for cooking 4/5 meals for the freezer. This is just a one off.

Its stewing steak.
Probably at least another hour.
Problem with stewing steak is that cooking it for one portion takes as long as for 10 portions. Next time use tinned steak , just need to reheat it with some veg to make meal.

Never heard or seen tinned steak, sounds awful.
^^ The top brands are as good as cooking it yourself.

Heard of it, seen it, tasted it. It doesn't sound awful but it tastes awful!
