Two Cadburys mini rolls, custard and three Thorntons continental chocolates for pudding .
I'm not been feeling too good today (not even self inflicted!) so have just stuck in some mini spring rolls, sesame toast and wantons, quick and easy :)

I was going to have Cumberland sausages but will do them tomorrow now hopefully or stick them in the freezer. Always do a few to have cold, love cold cooked sausages!

My Mrs thinks that peas with eggs are the spawn of the devil.. Hence, I never get them together :-(
I'm not feeling well either and Mr T's even worse. That's why we're having comfort food for tea rather than something fancy pantsy.
Bombay potatoes and pork chop for me. Was supposed to have that last night but I fell asleep and woke up to a Chinese takeaway instead
Duck with pesto mashed potatoes
Aww no, hope you feel better soon! I figured a quick 12 minutes on a baking tray was enough for me, got to love a comfort food party food pack as a quick fix!

Wow, I'm liking the idea of waking up to a Chinese takeaway :)
We always have a roast on New Year's Day (much to my disgust - I hate cooking a roast) - roast beef, mashed potatoes, carrots, broccoli, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings (home made) & gravy.
Last time I had a Chinese takeaway, I was so ill, I thought I was going to die and fall off, or into, the toilet.

Never again.
We normally have a roast as well, Sherr. I just can't be bothered today. Too busy coughing.
A friend has arrived with a pie.....I'm doing cauliflower cheese.....onion rings.....and something else...

I'm nibbling on a locally produced blue goat's cheese and it's delicious....

Pudding?.....Christmas cake maybe.....jelly.....I love jelly.....and Ferrero Rocher.....x
No particular traditions here, tonight will be soup, cock a leekie probably.
Oh bums.......just got the onion rings out of the freezer and they're curly fries.....!

That'll surprise folk......the picture on the bag looks like onion rings... :-(
We have lamb chop, bought in July, it's amazing what you find rummaging round in the freezer.
Ubasses.......Last week I found a leg of lamb that had been in the freezer for a year......

It was the most delicious leg of lamb ever.....we've all bought one now to keep in the freezer for next Christmas...x
Gness, I think I have stopped worrying about how long things have been in there. A few weeks ago I had a discussion on here about a dessert I could not even remember making which was lovely.
Me too, Ubasses......and when I think how we stored food and for how long when I was growing up I just use my wits......x
