I have some stewing steak mushrooms and red peppers and half a bottle of red wine what can I make in the slow cooker to use all these ingredients please
This uses stewing steak, mushrooms, red wine and green peppers (but one of the reviewers used red peppers instead and liked the results anyway):

The reviews are extremely good!
Mushrooms hardly need to cook at all. (They're fine raw). So you could, as you suggest, add them near to the end of cooking.
Equally though, it's almost impossible to overcook them. I'd slice them, toss them in hot butter in a frying pan for a minute or so and then add them at the start of the slow-cooking process.
Few things are fine raw (fruit being an obvious exception) including mushrooms' that end up rubbery in texture and with that raw taste one cooks to get rid of.
