Yes fan assisted. Usually I knock about 20 degrees of the given temperature and I get great results from my fan oven.
SharonA 100 degrees with a fan oven is just about 120 degrees in a standard oven, That's only just above boiling temperature. 7 hours is about right.
thanks Tony - looked briefly at your link but when I saw pink - no I don't do pink - however, do understand some people need their meat rare - sista and myself sorta like well done.
The lamb I bought looks lovely and I don't want to overcook it.
To be honest I just pot roast all my joints. You know brown for ages then add veggies and a little boiling water - tight fitting lid - and away it goes - but it has been ages since I done lamb.
well - cooked lamb at 150 fan assisted for 4 hours - beautifully tender but somehow much prefer lamb chops - won't be buying leg again. Thank God I have also done silverside too for tomorrow.
