Hey, Bernie! That's really funny. I have been crying with laughter since I read it.

I might even give you best answer. :-)
Some porridge and two Granny Smiths'. I don't have my breakfast until I get to work or, when not working, a good hour or so after I get up.
I make a "muesli" by chopping up fresh fruit, apples, nectarines, peaches, whatever I have, mix them with oats, sprinkle with cinnamon and soak with soya milk ( unsweetened) I put it in the fridge overnight and it's lovely for breakfast. Actually it's the only thing I can get Mr.Sam to eat in the morning. Oh and I fling in a few blueberries when I serve it. You could put in dried fruit too, but we are not that keen.

Sam, that sounds delightful. I haven't tried making my own. I might give that a go. I just use Alpen, no extra sugar added.

It fills me up though. I have only had a few grapes since breakfast. However, I am looking forwards to my dinner tonight.

I'll let someone else do a dinner thread.
Try it Tilly ! It only takes 5 minutes to make and is lovely and refreshing in the morning and keeps us going until lunchtime. Don't put nuts in though, I tried the other day with cashew nuts and they went soggy. Yugh.

Do you make a big bowlful or just enough for the following day?
I make enough for a couple of days. Enough for the two of us, so it's quite large Tupperware full.It only takes a few minutes to make. One fruit I always put in is an apple.
Question Author
I'll get some fruit tomorrow and give it a try. Thanks, Sam.

Now to write a shopping list. :-)
