How Many Vegans Are On Here?

I recently learned about the animal industry and became Vegan about 6 months ago. Its horrific to learn about it. Also after you learn you somehow live in denial a bit until you make your mind up. But its sick and I feel cheated that I was lied to my whole life about where food comes from and how animals are treated. Then to connect to their suffering also takes time to adapt because of all this cognitive dissonance we have to live though.
so how many vegans are on here?

I remember years ago when it was popular to be a vegetarian and restaurants were opened. The clientele were mainly unwashed hairy hippies in sandals and ponchos.

Why do weird folk follow these silly fads.

A Fad? lol I dont think so. If I was told that cows and pigs suffer when I was young I wouldn't have eaten meat. It isnt worth it really. I dont consider harming others a fun or acceptable thing when you have alternatives.

UMMM you have been sold milk, eggs etc becasue there is money to be made. Another species milk and cooked hen periods are pretty gros lol. Its the media that have made you think its normal. It isnt. I could be wrong though. But I doubt it. Meat and dairy are bigger than oil.

I visited a cafe on a regular basis accompanied by different friends and family members. I must have visited more than a dozen times before I realised it was a vegetarian venue, it had never registered by me or my guests.

bought some last week, from a farm, and the chickens looked perfectly happy as far as I could make out !

I was talking globally and I your reference to weir religious practices is unwarranted.

Why would I order a bacon sandwich when it's not part of the menu? My point was that my guests and I were perfectly well fulfilled with the said menu and none of us realised it was a veggie menu.

Does this not scare you? I mean immigrant children doesnt scare me but most of these people look middle aged. So to put these refugees with children is really scary for me.

But then again this is what they want to do. Scare us. the politicians want us to be scared to divert our attention from the coming nuclear war.

What do you think? Scared? Happy for the children? Or can you see this is a distraction?
