That sounds good, Chris, possibly with a splash of Worcester sauce on the cheese before putting the beans on top.

I'm not a great lover of Worcester sauce (but soy sauce works superbly with cheese on toast), Tony.

A couple of days ago I was using up stuff in the cupboard/freezer, so I had a couple of slices of cheese on toast, with half a can of baked beans and three rashers of bacon on top. Totally delicious and extremely satisfying!

My favourite was the curry flavoured Heinz beans with sultanas in them. I think they still make them but hard to find now.

I love the curried ones too, sometimes I'll add soaked sultanas and a spoon of curry paste to ordinary beans for a lift.
