Lately I have become somewhat addicted to (Sheep's Milk) Feta.I realise that it's not to everyone's taste, but I could live on (any) cheese.
Do you like cheese (some people loathe it) and if so what is your favourite?

Swiss Gruyere, sadly it rather expensive, but i love feta and other cheeses.
I like Feta but rarely buy it. My favourite soft cheese is Camembert and my favourite hard one is Bavarian smoked.
I can't think of any cheese that I don't like, except perhaps that excrescence called "mild cheddar" ?

Feta is wonderful, especially with some olives and a Greek salad.

I despaired of finding good cheese when I was travelling in America, until I discovered Cracker Barrel, which was nice and strong or "sharp" as the Yanks say.
Emmenthal is nice too but I begrudge paying for the holes!
I love cheese. My favourite is probably Camembert that has gone runny at room temperature. I really like manchego too.
I like any cheese except blue cheeses and American plastic cheese
i have bought some gruyere but its a small pack for about three quid, it doesn't go far. I like runny cheeses like Camembert, Brie, and loveliest of all Buffalo mozzarella
I love Feta, especially in a Horiatiki, but my favourite is Hallumi.

Do the Americans actually make ANY cheese,or is it either synthetic,or imported?
I find all cheeses of whatever origin utterly disgusting. After all, it once used to be food, but it has gone off. Gone bad. If I were starving and there was only cheese, I'd use it to fatten up the mice, then eat the mice.
Red Leicester for cheese on toast.
I love most cheeses particularly the blues, but have had to cut it right back, especially late in the day, until my gall stone is sorted. :((
I don't know Oldbather but it's like their butter disgusting!!
i don't recall having any cheese in US. They must make some, but perhaps its not particularly nice.
Simple man with simple tastes so it's Cheddar for me, none of that foreign muck for me ;)
Goats cheese, the stinkier and smellier the better, my parents lived in france and there was a little old lady who every saturday sold goats cheese wrapped in a oak leaf in the town square sat under the lavoir.

We drove past the said goats getting to the market.

Dave.
we make some stunning cheeses, so plenty to chose from. not just cheddar.

It was De Gaulle who famously said~"How can you govern a country which has two hundred and forty-six varieties of cheese?"
I've never seen Cheshire cheese round for a long time. When I was a kid there were only three types of cheese you could buy; Cheddar, Cheshire and Edam.
