I had a Chinese carry-out delivery and ordered too much and the cats are refusing to eat the left-overs.
I can leave the prawn crackers and have them for breakfast.
Is it okay to stick the boiled rice in the fridge for tomorrow or is it not a great idea. I have dodgy brain syndrome just now and I need someone to make a decision for me.
Can't see the problem, unless the cats have had their noses in it. Every takeaway I have bought does me at least two, sometimes three meals, and sits in the fridge till it is all gone.
There is a risk in reheating rice but if you put it in the fridge as soon as it has cooled completely and make sure when you reheat it that it is piping hot all the way through it should be fine. Don't keep for more than a day and don't reheat more than once
Thanks to all of you. The prawn crackers will be fine because the cats will help me eat them.
I will stick the rice in the fridge and decide in the morning if I will be able to use it or not tomorrow.
Sticking it in the freezer is pointless and things go in there and vanish into some huge black hole - only to be found again after a long period of time.
I had onion rings and sesame toast with my chicken in batter. After dunking all them in the sauce there is still enough sauce to make a huge casserole of sweet and sour moggie. :-)
Please be careful reheating rice...
Read the advice in Tooraks link.
I know a lot of people on here will poo poo this advice but it's a known high risk food.
...though less bossy - or should I say disdainful - than his female house mate. I'll get an avatar of her at some point if she sits still long enough to take a picture.
By the way, Sam is not yellow - I am just no good at taking photos

My two are siblings and they hate each other. Frankie at the back is sweet and Princess Merlin at the front it stupid and vicious. They will be twelve this year so I can't see them becoming best friends any time soon.
I might ditch the rice - my digestive system has been volatile recently.
Enjoy....or at least the animals will. If you have an oven, just ensure that your rice dish is well-heated through. If it was three or four days old, down the dog or into the bin.
