Sea Salt Vs Table Salt

I cannot believe an article in a food/consumer programme.

Apparently sea salt is better for the table and table salt is best for boiling your spuds, etc.

Well, who'd have thunk it?

I have used Halen Mon for years, as I have Cornish and Malden.

locally harvested from large salt flats in the marshes and distributed in markets up there in Cumbria, thought to be wonderful for the local sheep to graze on and hence for seasoning other meats etc....really is local, though there has been some debate up there about creating a company like Cornish Sea Salt to brand the product better.

I cannot think of any reputable regional delicatessens that stock it .

A brand name would be really good as I would very much like to purchase some.

my sis has sent packets through, a bit like some of the Provencal salts that another sis brings back from Lavendou.....

Have you tried the Cornish as well? Got a spare one of those at the moment.....

Is there a name though DTC. I frequent a number of very good farm shops and delis in the area but have never seen local salt!
