Mr Alba is working late this week.

Tonight's dinner will be served with egg noodles but I don't fancy eating after 7pm. Appetite has gone by that time.

Could I just cook for the 4 of us and serve at 6 and then just reheat his already cooked noodles?

(sounds as if they'd be blooming awful tho)

They will go dry and toughen.Could you not cook enough for yourself and the rest when Mr, Alba comes home?
That's what I was going to say. Cook his when he comes home, they only take 5 minutes.
Plunge them into cold water once cooked. Then reheat when you need them. If you just strain them they'll stick together.

If you're cooking them with a sauce mix them with the sauce and the'll be fine.

Thanks guys.

I think I answered my own Q when I hit submit lol

Ummm, can't mix them with sauce, Mr Fusspot don't like it that way.

I think I'll just go with making his once he's home.

Thanks for taking the time to reply xxxx
Do as ummmm says when you want to reheat just pour water over them from a boiling kettle
get a fish supper on the way home !

turned out to be a moot point, Mr Alba was early!

However, tip on the kettle to heat is duly noted for future. Thank you all
That works for rice too...
