I dropped my MasonCash mixing bowl the other day - I was gutted as there were a lot of memories associated with that. I have been looking at new ones and the quality is much lower as they don't make them in the UK anymore (Portugal, I believe). I would really like something that is still made in England and was looking at this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Denby-Heritage-Pavilion-Mixing-Bowl/dp/B00ABW78CA It is sometimes listed as a mixing bowl but also a serving bowl. Has anyone got one and is it comfortable for use in mixing?

I have the very same bowl, mine is blue with a green interior. I also have the smaller size which is yellow with a blue interior. I bought them both as part of an every day dinner service called, I think, colours, by Denby, of had them ages, maybe fifteen years.
We use both bowls as mixing bowls, salad bowls, pasta bowls, any thing you like bowls, they're great, and the big one really is big!
You could have a look around some charity shops, 237, but it might take you some time to drop on one. I recently spent six weeks looking for a butter dish. :-)
That Denby dish is very nice though. I wouldn't mind one of those even though I never do any baking.

Thanks for the replies. I see that the Denby one is only 10cm deep though so it might not be right. I think I`ll have to keep looking and I did wonder about charity shops.
There are some on Ebay if you type in Vintage Mason Cash mixing bowl.
You have to sort the wheat from the chaff though .Look at the ones that show photos of the base saying made in England and Church Gresley, the pottery ,on it like this one

I still have my Mum's Mason Cash bowl .It must be practically a museum piece by now. She died 22 years ago and I can remember it from when I was young and I'm pushing 70.
It's seen a lot of mixing.

Thanks shaney. I looked in the loft to see if I kept my Mum`s Mason Cash after she died but it's not there so I must have given it to the charity shop which I could kick myself for now. I have decided I`ll just have to plump for a Mason Cash and there is a blue one in John Lewis
Yes look on eBay.
Are there any "shabby chic" type shops near you? You know the type that sell vintage kitchenalia - Mason Cash bowls always a favourite in those.
