Frying Ham

We used to be able to get the above very easily but not now - however I was in butchers last week and he had a large ham shank (should have bought it - it was the last one). My mother used to cook these as in boiling them up with cabbage.

Would any of you know if you can fry slices of the ham shank. Thanks

Ham shank has to be boiled/ cooked properly, JJ. It would not fry well.
