Some breadmakers (Panasonic, I think) have a paddle that retracts when it's job is done so that you don't get the hole on the underside
Linseed is a healthy thing to put into bread (but only when it is ground down because it would otherwise go right through you) Aldi sell ground golden linseed.
Often wondered why the paddle isn't retracted. Size/cost I assumed. Must look out for the Panasonic one then.
OG .. Lakeland do one with a collapsible blade, but it's not cheap! Click the video, nice machine.
^^ Seems collapsible blades still leaves an indentation.
With this Breville model, there's a way to remove the collapsible blade on its 'third rise phase'
I wonder if that's possible with a normal paddle on a doughs third rise phase, if a recipe/ machine tells you when that is?
Thanks for that, was having problems finding which you were referring to. Truth be known, I don't presently need a replacement but nice to know they exist. Removables don't really appeal. One would need to interact with the bread maker part way through the process, but the idea is to set it, then come back to a baked loaf.
Yes I know, seems the technology for a perfect lost isn't quite there yet OG.
