The book it written by a cardiologist and details a diet which he derived to help his heart patients loose excess weight.
It does control the amount of carbs you eat but it seems to be a lot healthier and less extreme than The Atkins Diet.
I now eat what I want when i want and have control of my weight after a good few years.
The book is available in all good book stores, Amazon, etc
Hope this helps and good luck.

I attended 'Slimming World' about 7 years ago. It was OK. I did lose some weight. I was never 'slimmer of the week', that is the aspect of the class I did'nt like, the humiliation type stuff. However, I thought the 'Food Combining' was good. They always want you to buy stuff at the meetings, books, special SW bars etc., can be expensive. I have just purchased a 'Slimming World' 2005 starters pack from Ebay and I am going to do it on my own and I am NOT going to humiliate myself. But if you lack willpower then go.
