Nooo cheddar - parmesan smells like vomit
You only need a little bit though
Nooo...."pastanotatallfreak"....never eat it anymore.
Love parmesan...dont be put off by smell.
You used to be able to get Parmesan in little sprinkle pots but now all they seem to have is Italian hard grated cheese. No idea of the type. I you want Parmesan you have to buy a lump and grate it yourself.
^ It's cheap in Aldi
What did Samuel Pepys bury to protect it from the Great Fire of London?

It wasn't his diary, it was his parmesan cheese.

That is not a joke, it's true.
My local Italian shop sells wonderful ravioli.
It keeps forever in the fridge. As a hard cheese it has a long life.
You can get decent quality pre-grated Parmigiano Reggiano in Sainsbury's.
I didn't know it was Parmesan but I knew he buried a large cheese.
Bedford has great Italian shops. There was one I went to for the BEST pork and fennel sausages. I miss them.
I think you can still get Parmesan in the nasty little pots, which unfortunately is the type that people associate with the smell of vomit.
A decent lump freshly grated is what you want.
It has, Pasta. We are very lucky.
