Leftover curry, rice, onion bhajees, veg samosas, beetroot and chilli samosas (no idea what they’re like, just happened to spot them in the supermarket) and a bottle of our second favourite fizz, to celebrate tonight’s Strictly opening programme...yay!

I made a cream and mustard sauce for the Swedish ones, it was very tasty. That one you’re making sounds lovely too Pasta.
Barmaid, have you ever made apple charlotte with your apples, it’s really nice. There’s another one with breadcrumbs, jam and meringue which is also good. And apple tray bake, sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. I have my late mums apple cookery book, recipes are from some monastery and all are worth a go.

I just throw things together. Basically...lightly brown the meatballs...add finely minced garlic, shallots, and sun-dried tomatoes plus herbs of choice. Basil is good as is any mixture of Mediterranean or Provençal herbs. Also a good grind of pepper plus sea salt to taste. Finally, a couple of dollops of crème fraiche...let bubble several minutes. You could add grain mustard to it also. I serve over cauliflower rice or with buttery pan fried tomatoes. Lots of parmesan on top.
