Defrosting meat

I took a joint of beef out of the freezer earlier today and put it in the fridge so we can have it for dinner tommorrow.
But, i fancy it today...and it's still frozen. Any suggestions....microwave ? hot water ?????

if i have this problem i stick it in the microwve on defrost, but only for about 4 mins at a time, then turn joint over, just to make sure it is evenly defrosted. towards the end you may want to defrost for less time each time
Hi Andy, and after it appears to be defrosted I usually cut it into two small joints and then cook it just to make sure it gets cooked through, Mind you I like the outside bits the most anyway so I get more of them that way.
