Allowances For Alcohol

I am flying out from Heathrow to Johannesburg at the end of this month. I would like to take some gifts. Namely Dubonnet 75cl bottles 14.80volume, Polo Mints and Galaxy chocolate. Can anyone advise me what the allowance for these are at the airport. I will be purchasing these outside of duty free in my local supermarket. Strange I know but apparently these are not sold in south Africa will be flying on from Johnnesburg to george Airport. I am struggling to find out anywhere if Dubonnet comes under wines or spirits. I have looked on allowances on Google or elsewhere but can find nothing relating to these items. Your replies would be much appreciated. Thank-you.

Are you sure you will be allowed to take the bottles on to the aircraft?

If you’re buying outside the airport the bottles will need to be packed in your hold luggage as they won’t get past security. No idea about allowances into SA I’m afraid

As a 'wine-based aperatif' I'd say it came under 'wine'.

If you can buy the Dubonnet in duty free then do so and carry it on board. Any liquids bought elsewhere have to go in your suitcase in the hold.

I can't remember ever seeing Dubonnet in the duty free.
