Ummmm, no I can’t not knowing. I’ll probably be giving some to my grandaughter too.

I’ll look back later, I’m going for a sleep. I have googled but can’t find a similar image, thanks ummmm.
It looks fine to me.. Probably just bruised in transit.
I agree with ummmm....bruised........just eat it.
It's a dreaded Pox's Pippin
I would not give it second thought and eat the lot, including the spots which are almost certainly utterly insignificant. They may be bruising during handling/transportation but they may also be "injury" during growing from such things as insects or birds that has healed over and is now dying from the point where the skin was penetrated. I would not hesitate to give some to a child, peeled in the case of a toddler.
looxury! eat it! gawd elp us!
Get it et, cut round it if you must, but....
Apple Scab: Scab is a fungus that first shows up on the leaves of apples and then affects fruit. In 2018 the incredible amount of rain and humidity we experienced in the spring and summer gave us more scab than usual, but thankfully not as much as in 2017. Some varieties are more susceptible than others--you will see the worst of it on our McIntosh and Gala. Mild scab does not affect the interior of the apple in any way. Just peel or cut it off and enjoy as usual. Here's what a scab lesion looks like:

Thanks Johnny, everyone. Not bruised, I know what bruised looks like.Possibly scab but it doesn’t look the same, these are raised bumps and light in colour. From South Africa. I’m chucking it, the others seem o.k. Very good retro cop ;0)

I would wash the apple in water, chop the ailment off and eat.
Check thread date, I imagine the apple is no more.
