Tony - They’re really quite tight with their dosh and get really indignant if they think they’re being ripped off (almost take it personally) :)

Everything is way smaller. It won't be long before chocolate bars are all the same size as tins of Heroes

Yes ah wench, the ice poles are shorter these days.

Believe it or not when I was a kid ice poles ( we called them tip tops ) were about 10 inches long.

I recon that chocolate / sweet manufactures just make their products smaller rather than price increase them ( although they do seem to up the prices as well ).

Wagon Wheels, Penguins, Kit Kats - they've all shrunk. Slightly off the subject I know but watched an interview with a stallholder on Bury market when they were discussing the troubles at the club and Mr BD nearly choked on his coffee. She was selling Chorley Cakes for 80p each. That's 16 bob each he spluttered. Still upsets him.

everything's been affected by 'shrinknation' and the worst thing about it is that Mr JD eats 2 of everything to make up for it's loss in size!!!
