Darling husband has got me a stove top pressure cooker. It is just literally the pot and lid.

a) do I need to get trivets and other gubbins to go inside it? I guess they might be useful if I want to do anything other than stew or soup.

b) can anyone recommend a really good Pressure cooker recipe book?

c) Anyone want a husband? I have one going spare.

TIA

I'll bet he's going spare...
tell him you require an Instant Pot
Yes, a trivet and separators are useful....hence, they are normally provided.
If you have a branch of cheapo shop The Works near, you will find a good selection of all sorts of recipe books including those for "specialist" equipment eg pressure cookers, slow cookers, air fryers etc....and very cheap too!

Ahhh, I'd forgotten about The Works Gingebee - good thought. I shall be walking past the one in town tomorrow.

Woof, unfortunately, that wasnt an option from the list he had to choose from. But I've been looking at those online this afternoon, they look amazing!
The BBC Good Food website is often used by people suggesting recipes here on AB. The website itself hasn't got many recipes for pressure cookers but they've produced a book that's dirt cheap (at £3.99), which might be worth taking a look at:
