Soup Makers

[MWG14]

My wife has hinted that she would like a soup maker.

Can anyone personally recommend one that is not extortionately expensive, simple to use and one where ingredients sticking is not a problem?

Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

Ours is cooks essentials and came from QVC, does more than just soup and would recommend, gets used regularly.

I have one that was a present and I use it all the time. I used to do soup in a pan and use a stick blender but this is even easier. I put everything in, press a button and away it goes. Mine is Salter but I don’t know the model.

Well I may be a lazy cook, Rockrose but my Morphy Richards soup maker is one of the best buys I've ever made.
Had it over a year and it has yet to see the inside let alone the back of a cupboard.
I bung everything in and twenty minutes later it produces the perfect soup of my choice. Don't have to stand over a saucepan or use any other gadgets to chop or blend or wash up. Just my imagination to produce delicious soup with no effort.....and the time I save standing in the kitchen can be put to better and more fun use........just ask Dave... ;-)

I bought my soup maker in Lidl - because i never had one before i didn't want to go to any great expense, it is the best buy ever, I have soup in 20 mins and it is gorgeous - it also makes smoothies - just chop up veg really small and lob it all into the soup maker (it's like an oversisized kettle) and go to the function you want, mine also makes smoothies and keeps the soup warm if I wanted while I get on with other things and no fear of me forgetting it is on the stove, it stops when soup is made - I've not thrown any leftover veg on compost since purchasing it back in May - it's souperb and I would highly recommend getting one for your wife https://www.which.co.uk/news/2017/12/lidl-launches-cheap-soup-maker-and-air-fryer-for-christmas/

I certainly don’t stand over a saucepan

I thought they were a useless waste of money - but after seeing one in action I am now a convert - excellent soup and naff-all faffing about - good bit of kit.
