For those who enjoy an occasional ready meal, what’s your favourite?
Tonight we’re having Sainsburys Thai takeaway, first time we’ve had it. I’m hopeful it’ll be nice as their Chinese and Indian takeaways are worth getting for a change.
We always enjoy M&S carbonara which serves two generous portions, and their fish pie takes some beating (we always do some peas to have with it) as does their lasagne, which we have with salad.
I know some people don’t rate ready meals, but for those who do enjoy one, what’s your favourite?

Toad in the Hole accompanied with new potatoes.
Binghams pies and their Mac cheese. M&S, their Chicken Kiev.
I haven't eaten a ready meal in over two decades - can't stand them.

I am, however, partial to a few party snacks such as duck rolls, tempura prawns and samosas.
I tend to buy whatever is reduced.
I get Chinese from my local takeaway but they are closed at the moment.
Charlie Bigham but NOT the curries, M and S or Sainsburys chicken kiev but it has to be the expensive M and S one, Sainsburys Summer Ribs, Waitrose pasta in sauce meals but its too hot for them now. yes the sainsburys chinese and indian are good.
We are fortunate to have Chippy and Chinese within walking distance.
Had chicken Kiev for lunch today.
I like Tesco’s corned beef hash.

I love a curry and Chinese food but have never found a decent supermarket one.
I tend to buy the ones that don't come with their own accompaniment for example the curries that just come on their own (not with rice) this is because ready meal rice tastes vile, and often comes with peas and or sweetcorn - yuk! Also, I find that ready meal tend to be cooked with ingredients I don't like as I'm very fussy. For example, I don't really like anything that's cooked with wine or beer or brandy
I don't generally get ready meals of something I could cook myself, but would get things that are harder for me to cook like Battered prawns or sesame prawn toast. the main exception is lasagne because, let's face it, it's an utter faff to cook from scratch
emmie my local co ops are not to bad, just have to add some Worstershire sauce.

Well I have to say, the Thai meal was really really nice, we’d have it again any time. I’m sure it’s not terribly authentic but it was very tasty.
Highly recommended for those who enjoy an occasional ready meal.
Must have a look at Charlie Bingham stuff, never tried any.
Some of the Iceland Luxury Range are very good.
The main thing vagus is eat what you enjoy. Remember we had the wine snobbery ? . Now irs food . Lol
Grow up, AA.
I sometimes treat myself to a Tesco Finest Meal deal - last week I had Maple and Balsamic Gammon Shanks, a trio of cabbage with pancetta plus profiteroles and a nice Merlot, all for £10.

Did me two meals and a sandwich.
Sainsbury's shepherd pie with a red wine jus, is just delish! I've even done it when a friend came for a meal (told her what it was) and she was hoping for seconds !
Last summer I enjoyed M and S Texas Slammers...pork sausage meat wrapped around spicey cheese-stuffed jalapeno peppers, then all wrapped in bacon. I bought them every week. I also liked the lamb koftas they did. I don't know what this year's summer specials are.

M&S do some lovely gammon shanks mamy, could be cranberry and something, gammon shanks and lamb shanks always go down well don’t they? That’s a great meal deal for a tenner!
