Every time we’ve been in one of the above shops lately, as we’re tilled out we’re asked are we collecting something or other..little packets with, I assumed, a small toy in. We’ve always declined.
This morning, out of sheer curiosity, I accepted and received two of the said packets.
One packet contained a small (about the diameter of a pound coin)plastic jar pretending to be Mediterranean sauce, and a collectors card. The other contained an even smaller packet of pink lady apples..except when you opened it, it was two small bits of cardboard. And a collectors card.
If I was a child and collecting these things I’d be mightily disappointed, as a curious adult I was mightily baffled as to the point of these ‘toys’.
Anyone collect these things? What are they supposed to be for??
Oh, right, thanks for the link Sharon, explains it a bit.
So you can get a little display case to put them in, but that’s about it really.
I wonder if many children collect them and think they’re nice? I can see them going straight in the bin, they’re really quite naff.
