If I am making myself toast I don't cut it at all. If I make it for someone else I cut it diagonally.

though if i have friends to dinner and have something like pate and toast i cut them diagonal, never though of it before.

Very often I fancy toast in the afternoon with a coffee, Mr B asked if I wanted a cuppa and I asked for a slice of toast , it came halved and I said I'd rather have it diagonal, the look I got was priceless haha
