Cup A Soup

does anyone like them, and if so can you recommend any, i have potato and leek ones, but would like to try something different. I can't handle anything spicy, so no chilli....

Soup in a microwave is a bit dangerous, it splashes badly when it is boiled.

There is also a danger that can occasionally happen where an area gets super heated, and can erupt when a spoon us put in causing scalding liquid to fly up.

A small microwave would be a great investment for you Emmie, home made soup frozen in cup size portions, ready in no time.

so you don;t think ordinary veg have additives, what about pesticides aand all manner of stuff to stop it from going off.

diddly...sweeping generalisations there. I think you'll find that canned soups have no "awful additives"...the worst thing being salt.

of course they are diddly. unfortunately i don;t have a garden as i live in a 2nd floor flat.

Emmie - in that case just buy organic veg from the supermarket and make your own wholesome soup. Freeze in suitable sized porions. It really is that simple.

I get fed up of tea and coffee so usually have a pack of Tesco 'light' chicken noodle instant soups hanging around for when I want a hot drink but not T or C.
The chickenny brothy stuff reminds me of the chicken broths my Mum used to make from the giblets and carcase when we had a roast chicken back in the 60's/70's.

It wouldn't do for you Em but I really like Ainsleys Hot and Sour, very warming.

Years ago I tried Ainsleys range of cup a soup & wasn't impressed to say the least but I recently tried Ainsleys Hot and Sour soup - it was lovely & I would buy it again
