Had a load of limes left over, and 300ml double cream so have just made lime syllabub. Wasn’t sure how it would turn out as lemons are the usual fruit but it’s absolutely lovely!
The other six limes will be used in our gin and tonics.

Oh my, that sounds lovely. I have a few limes and some cream knocking about. Maybe I'll make some later.

Took five minutes rocky, don’t know what recipe you use but I did this one
300 ml double cream
3-4 oz sugar
4 fl oz brandy
Juice and grated zest of two limes.
Whip cream till fairly stiff. Add everything else and gently whip again. Put into bowls (this has just made two huge bowls) and refrigerate for at least a few hours.
Thank you Vagus. I haven't got any brandy, but I'm sure I can find something else....maybe some white rum. That would work with lime.
Question Author
Recipe says brandy or sherry but I reckon rum would do it :)
I bet it's nice made with gin. I don't like Brandy all that much so I would have to find an alternative.

I have actually got a bottle of Marsala Wine that will never get drunk - I wonder if it would work with that? I have a bowl full of limes and lemons to use up.
