On this beautiful day?
He is having pizza with cheesy coleslaw and I am having a seafood platter with crayfish, prawns, crab claws and home cured salmon.
Dessert is sticky toffee pudding for him and strawberry trifle for moi.
All made by the chef du jour

Salmon is dead easy bednobs, equal amount of sugar and sea salt, herbs of choice I used lemon balm as it’s going mad and mix in a tot of gin - not necessary but lovely.
Cover the salmon (I did a bit equivalent to two small fillets) with the cure. Wrap in clinky film then pop in a bag in a plastic box and put some weight on top of it like cans.
Leave for 24 hours rinse dry and slice as thin as you like.
I often leave mine for 48hours.

We’re having a Sainsburys fancy pants pizza, can’t remember the exact toppings, it’s a thin and crispy one, with a salad of chopped cucumber, halved cherry tomatoes, chopped red pepper, and halved red grapes. Accompanied by a bottle of Crement de Loire, and
followed by a cherry pie and Elmlea.
All preceded by a couple of G&Ts in all likelihood :)

Ive just had smoked salmon & cream cheese on a gluten free thin for lunch, with a small glass of Pino Grigio. Tonight OH & I are having Surf & Turf with fillet steak and massive shrimp marinated in Montreal rub -which is really for steak but lovely with shrimp. Probably do just salad with that unless OH wants some saute potatoes. I've loads of ice ream treats in the freezer so that will be the pud probably.
