I'm not keen on any of the well known brands of instant coffee. Can anyone recommend something better please?

> They don't taste like coffee. This is the problem, when you're used to good coffee! I tend to think of instant coffee as "NotCoffee". It's just a drink. If you want it to taste like good coffee, it can't. If you think of it as a different drink, it's palatable.

My favourite is Nescafé Azera. It comes in different blends and is the nearest thing to fresh ground coffee. Not cheap though, roughly £5 for 100 g.
Lavazza Prontissimo or Espresso...though I see reviews are love or hate. It's on half price offer at Tesco and Sainsbury's.
I also like kenco millicano, but maybe you've tried that already.
That would depend on what you actually don't like about the available brands - can you be more specific?

They don't taste like coffee.
The best we've found is, believe it or not, Nescafé produced in Brazil and has Portuguese label, from Iceland! Problem is that it comes and goes (gone when I went in this morning). Spanish Nescafé is really good too but no chance of going to Spain anytime soon to stock up.
I love Nescafe Azera americano too
pasta kenco millicano the big tin is on offer at Tesco with the clubcard deals, it's what I'm using at the moment.
It's just trial and error really naomi.
What someone else likes, might not be your cup of tea, or coffee in this instance/instant!
Sorry, I'll get me coat.
I only drink one coffee a day so have started using sachets, Nescafe, actually really nice.
I remember the sachets from the 50s. 2d each.
Ive had Nescafe Gold Blend decaff for years and Ive always had loads of compliments on how lovely it tastes..
I don't like standard Nescafe but their Azera Americano and Azera Intenso are lovely. I like to mix them together for the best taste :)

That doesn't really help, since taste is an individual thing.

Anything else?

Naomi have you tried Taylors coffee bags, they come in various roasts.
I have both, chelle. Never thought of mixing them, will give it a try.
Have you tried coffee bags. I can recommend them.
I am using Taylor's.
Crossed posts with Margo.
Sharon, see 14.16.
Jackdaw, let me know what you think, I like still getting a little kick from the intenso but then it's not too much for the whole cuppa
