Casserole recipes
I hate cooking but to be able to shove a load of ingredients in a pot and stick in the oven for an hour really appeals to me.
Any recipes would be great thanks

In your casserole dish, quickly brown a pack of 8 thick sausages in a splash of olive oil. Then add a chopped onion and 8 rashers of bacon, chopped. Let the onions and bacon cook a little then add a 415g can of baked beans, a 400g can of chopped tomatoes with garlic and herbs, 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard and 1 tablespoon of tomato puree. Mix everything well and season a little with salt and pepper, then bung in a preheated oven on about Gas 5 for 3/4 hour. Serve with crunchy roast potatoes and a nice green veg!
And in the fish corner - get a couple of chunks of firm white fish and dice, 1 potato, diced, some broccoli, diced carrot, sweetcorn if about as well is nice, half pint water, half pint milk, seasonings.
Put the water and milk into a casserole dish, add the tatties and bring to boil. Simmer for 10 mins. Add all veg. Simmer 5 mins. Season to suit, add fish and cook for another 3 mins. thicken with cornstarch if youwant a thicker finsih, but a nice 'loose' stew is great mopped up with tons of hearty bread.
Add herbs to enhance if you want. Fried oniond garlic - in fact like most casseroles its about using what is ti hand.
Use coconut milk and add some nice prawns at the end with a few chilis and lemon grass for an Asian variation.

Beef Bourginion (Spelling a little rusty!)
Dice 1 onion and one carrot, crush a couple of cloves of garlic brown in pan on hob. Add 500g of chunked braising steak. Brown. Add in 2 glasses of red wine, leave to reduce a bit. Then add in 1 1/2 pints of good beef stock, put a lid on your pan and bung it on a low heat for 3 or 4 hours.(about 140 should do) 1/2 an hour before serving, add in a packet of button mushrooms and 6 shallots (halved and caramelised with a little butter and sugar in a pan)
sit back an enjoy. Seems to be a bit fussy for a casserole but the end result will be very yummy.
