Bread And Butter Pudding

Watched James Martin make the above using croissants, and the custard part had three large bars of white chocolate and a load of whiskey in it.
Can’t decide if it sounds absolutely wonderful...or totally sickly. What do you think??
I’ve not made one for ages, might give it a bash next time.

My nan used to make it with eggs, milk, stale bread and butter with a sprinkling of white sugar.. I have used brioche, no butter but spread with raspberry jam and the eggs mixed with half milk half single cream. No sugar is needed, and it was nice.
Didn't like it, but loved bread pudding.

Did you see it today Smurf? The gigantic mixed grill??
He used loads of meaty things, enough to feed an army almost but if you portion it up, everyone would have had a giant pork chop, a thick lamb chop, a fat sausage, a large piece of rump steak, and some kidney.
There’s no way I could enjoy all that on one plate, well, maybe the half tomato and some of the peppercorn sauce he made.
