On Saturday I did a test run with a large veggie samosa. Crispy in half the time.
Dinner was marinated chicken thighs...moist and very crispy. I had to adjust tjme as 2 thighs were somewhat larger. 20 minutes plus 2.
Lunch yesterday was a very thick burger topped with cheddar...about 11 minutes. A bit less would have been fine
Last night was bacon wrapped sweet chilli prawns and mini plum tomatoes thrown in for 1 minute...9 minutes in all.
I've given timings for anyone who might be interested in comparing.

But does it cook pasta??
Question Author
Yes...it does cook...;)

Serious answer...yes, apparently you can cook/boil pasta in it. Not something I intend to try though.
I just cannot bring myself to jump on this particular bandwagon!
It is a bit like the soup maker craze!
and to be honest some of the food I have seen (not yours as obviously I have not seen yours) looks worse than Colin and Jess's food!
I must get one, bit of a sarcastic dig there helen, lol.
Sparkly I have no idea what you are on about.
Question Author
Neither do I...
Was any of the food fresh or was it frozen? How many chicken thighs, just the two?
Meant to also ask can it cook two different foods at once? Eg beefburger and chips, or chicken thighs and chips.
Question Author
It was all fresh cashier. I fit 4 thighs in it...and it will hold a medium chicken I think.
If cooking for 2, I'd imagine you could cook meat and chips at the same time.
It's definitely a learning curve.
Do you need to use any oil at all, Pasta?
Question Author
You can rub chicken skin with a bit to make it more crispy...I use a drop in my marinades. Some instructions suggest spraying the basket or rack.
Pleased you have your new airfryer. Enjoy. :-)
Question Author
Thanks patsy...originally I was going to get the Instant Pot with airfryer, but it would have been too big and heavy at over 10kg.
I ordered the Corsona 4.5 litre as it had rave reviews and the video showed a lady placing what looked like medium sized chicken in it. It came today and I was disappointed, as the pan was large but very shallow and the chicken would have touched the top of the heating elements. Reading the instructions, which are aimed at the USA market, it took 4 minutes pre heat plus 25 minutes to cook chips, sorry but I can do them in the chip pan in 5 minutes. Other suggestions in the recipe book such as chops, sausage and steak are quicker and easier to do in a frying pan so all in all not that useful. The plus side is its around £100, but I've printed off a return label as I don't think its fit for purpose for what we need.
I'm amazed you make your own samosas Pasta, please don't tell me you make your own filo pastry as well.
I presume you go around on a motorbike Meaghan because it's faster than a car.
Canary, Sorry that remark has gone over my head, no idea what you mean.
I wanted to purchase an air fryer to cut electricity costs, mainly for stuff done in the oven like roasts and jacket potatoes. I expected the cooking times to be much faster than they are.
Question Author
Cashier...sorry to disappoint you but the samosa was from Marks.
Meaghan..its not just about speed but energy saving.
If yours is the same as mine, the basket is quite deep.
I'm doing cauliflower cheese in mine tonight.
Question Author
I was just thinking about that!
