Curry Query

Can you just bung in a jar of Pataks Tikka masala curry paste onto a pot of cooked veg.
I ask cuz my Spanish Mrs hates the smell of curry, but she will away for a few days, so i thought why not make a ruby!?

Never tried it but can't think of any reason why not. What instructions are on the label ? Try it once, see how it goes.

Not the paste, but you can use the Tikka Masala cooking sauce.

I made the assumption that cooking continued after adding the paste. Obviously the spice can't do it's thing properly left cold.

Better to put a pataks sauce on uncooked veg ( plus a tin of chickpeas or lentils)and bung in a medium oven for an hour check if veggies are tender but only dense root veg should take longer.

Simple answer is...their SAUCES (larger jars) would be OK.
Their pastes need frying in a little oil first.

You can get a curry delivered in Spain, especially in the cities and tourist areas

Hi piggynose, it's better to cook the ingredients with the paste, juices from vegetable or meat will mix with it, the "rawness" of the paste is better cooked. The paste is concentrated so you won't need a lot. HTH
