It might depend upon where you're buying it.  The heat scales used in supermarket curries, for example, can be very different to those used in Indian restaurants.

If you're buying a chilled ready meal in a supermarket, a tikka marsala curry wouldn't a very big step up from a korma.  However a tikka marsala in an Indian restaurant might be a great deal stronger!

If you're in an Indian restaurant then, obviously, you'll need to select between types of Indian curry.  However if you're buying in a supermarket (or selecting a restaurant on a High Street), it might be better to look for a Thai curry, where you can generally get plenty of flavour without too much extra heat.  (Beware of 'Thai Street Food' places though if you don't want your curries too hot!).

Malaysian curries are generally milder than Indian ones too.

You need to know your restaurant too. Not all do the same dish to the same strength.

That's an interesting link piggynose, differs from my experience of passanda though❗.  I think OG and Chris make a very good point, it depends a lot on individual restaurants.

Korma imho isn't a curry! You really need to do some research, if you think Indian food is too spicy then take Chris's advice.
